A note from my kitchen to yours.
These toasted almonds require almost no effort, but they’re one of my favorite things to set out before a meal. They pair beautifully with a glass of wine, travel well for gatherings, and always seem to disappear faster than expected.
Why this recipe works:
With just three ingredients and a low, slow roast, the almonds develop a crisp texture and perfectly balanced salty finish. They’re just as at home on an aperitivo board as they are packed for a picnic or enjoyed as an afternoon snack.

HOW TO MAKE SEA SALT TOASTED ALMONDS:
Step 1: Prepare.
Preheat oven to 300°F. In a medium bowl, dissolve the sea salt in the hot water.
Step 2: Coat the Almonds.
Add the almonds and toss until evenly coated. Spread the almonds in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Step 3: Bake.
Bake for 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes to ensure even roasting. Remove from the oven and allow the almonds to cool completely on the baking sheet, about 30 minutes. Serve once cooled or store for later.
How to Serve Sea Salt Toasted Almonds:
- Serve alongside olives, cheeses, and cured meats for an easy aperitivo platter.
- Add to a charcuterie board for extra crunch.
- Pair with sparkling wine, Prosecco, or a crisp white wine.
- Package in small jars or bags for a simple homemade hostess gift.
La Vita, Simplified:
Kitchen Tip: Roast the almonds low and slow. A lower oven temperature gives them the best crunch without over-browning.
Storage: Let the almonds cool completely before storing—they’ll continue to crisp as they cool. Keep them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
Pantry Favorite: I love using Glass Food Storage Containers for homemade nuts, biscotti, and pantry staples. They keep everything fresh while making it easy to see what’s on hand.
