A note from my kitchen (& Preston’s corner!) to yours.

We made these to celebrate Preston’s birthday, but they’ve quickly become one of his favorite homemade treats year-round. With just a handful of pantry staples, they’re easy to make, freezer-friendly, and always seem to disappear faster than expected.

Why this recipe works: Four simple, dog-friendly ingredients come together into wholesome treats that are easy to customize, simple to store, and just as fun to make as they are to share.

🚨🐾 Dog Kitchen Safety Note 🐾🚨

This recipe uses dog-friendly ingredients, but always introduce new foods slowly and in moderation. Avoid onion, garlic, chocolate, grapes, raisins, xylitol (can be found in some peanut butters and other sugar-free products), and excess salt. If your pup has sensitivities or health conditions, check with your veterinarian before trying new treats.

Step 1: Prepare & Mix.

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, pumpkin, and eggs until smooth. Gradually add the whole wheat flour, about ½ cup at a time, mixing between each addition until a dough begins to form. Optional: A stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment makes this step even easier.

How to Serve Pumpkin & Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits:

  • Perfect for birthdays, gotcha days, training rewards, or everyday treats.
  • Pair with an extra walk, belly rubs, or a new toy for maximum pup approval. 🙂

Buon Compleanno, Preston! 🐾

La Vita, Simplified:

Kitchen Tip: Bake time will vary depending on the thickness of your biscuits. They’re ready when lightly golden around the edges.

Storage: Store in an airtight container for up to one week, or freeze for longer storage.

Kitchen Favorite: I love using pre-cut parchment sheets because cleanup is quick and the biscuits lift right off after baking.
